This year we made our yearly trip to Fathers Day Catch on the Field at Dodger Stadium for free Dodger dogs, ice cream and Dodger blue water. I managed to obtain the following autos: Tommy Davis, Ken Landreaux, Rudy Law, Al Downing, Bobby Castillo, and Jimmy Campanis.
Jimmy Campanis mentioned I had a striking likeliness to Jeff Kent.
Classic.

Having the family message on the historic scoreboard made it all the more special.

The game tomorrow Krisdee and I will attend will be the first time brothers have faced each other in the show since '02 when Alan Benes of the Cubs faced Andy Benes of the Cardinals.
Brothers have squared off against each other only 8 times as starters in all of MLB history. In 1996, the Dodgers' Ramon Martinez faced his brother Pedro (then of the Expos).
I'm assuming Krisdee will be sporting her Angels Red (unless i can convince her otherwise), and i'll be representing the Blue down in ANA.
Let's go LA!
As a side note, let's also hope I can stay out of trouble this trip behind the Orange Curtain... In late 2007 I had a very costly Bud Lite in the ANA parking lot for tailgating. Unfortunately, I have the Fullerton Court Receipt to prove it.

Back in the day I had this shirt and wore it all the time to school. So much so that unfortunately it didn't age well and ended up getting donated quite a few years back. (I *do* still have an original Dodgers one however).
Imagine my surprise when I learned the Championship '09 Shirt was a nod to that same shirt I wore all the time back in the day.

Yes.
Krisdee and I each
ordered one.
This is great.
I especially like the "Meter maid can kiss my ass". Anyone in LA will know what that references :)
Maybe the '09 Lakers can do something as awesome and memorable as
this.
Apparently, the best way to celebrate a championship is burning someone's furniture on Crenshaw Blvd?
Nothing but titles!
First title in LA in 7 Years! Dodgers next?
Now that i've already secured a few remaining seatbacks at the announcement of the sale (I ordered a Yellow Field, Blue Lower Reserve just now) i figured I'd post here that S&S seating has now released the last remaining Dodger Stadium seats from the stadium renovations.
Apparently they had a small warehouse which contained the last unsold seats!
Luckily we purchased a set from the Loge Section as well as the Upper Reserve back when they were first released so we don't have to pay the exorbitant pricing seen on ebay in recent times.
Here's the
LINK if you're interested.

We got on the field pregame for the Dodgers - Phillies matchup courtesy of my work again this last Saturday.
Literally an arms reach from the singer during the national anthem. We saw Larry King, Lauren Conrad, and a few other celebs I have no idea who they were (Krisdee can fill you in on the Hollywood celeb sightings).
I was sporting my Lasorda jersey, when I walked right by the man himself on the field. He yelled "NICE JERSEY" LOL
Also walked right by Frank and Jamie McCourt.
Awesome.
