Teppanyaki - The new mixed martial art?

I always figured that, someday, a chef at Benihana would kill someone throwing a knife around or lighting something on fire. I never considered the lethal consequences of flying shrimp.

"Jerry Colaitis' bizarre death at age 47 came 10 months after he injured his neck on a family outing to the Munsey Park outlet of the famed Japanese steakhouse chain, noted for entertaining chefs who grill tableside.
"'The chef who was assigned to their table starts tossing food,' said lawyer Andre Ferenzo, who represents Colaitis' widow, Jacqueline.
"'He tosses a piece of shrimp, and it hits one of the children. They tell him to stop, he doesn't. He does it a second time, and it strikes the brother-in-law.'
"Fearing for their safety, Ferenzo said, Colaitis ... and his family asked the chef to stop throwing shrimp because it was hot.
"The chef smiled, then tossed a third piece at Colaitis, who hurt his neck trying to avoid the flying crustacean, Ferenzo said.
"That was in January 2001. By June, doctors were telling Colaitis he needed surgery to repair an injured vertebra or face possible paralysis. After two operations, he was admitted to the hospital again on Nov. 20. Two days later, Colaitis ... was dead from a blood infection, respiratory failure and renal failure."
Benihana's lawyer says Colaitis hurt himself trying to catch the shrimp in his mouth.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and avoid flying food this holiday.

This guy eats plenty of roughage
This thing would be great entertainment for the office.
RoboDump is a robot. Sort of. And it poops. Sort of. Forever. A horrible,
never-ending bowel movement complete with straining grunts, horrific gas,
splashes, and pee sounds.

"losers" and "girlie men"
This is too funny. After being asked what he thought of the Dems still wanting to create tax increases despite losing the election, Arnold responded with "Why would I listen to losers?".

This on top of him calling the Dems "Girlie Men" during budget fight last summer.

Classic.

Stanford down... Cal next?
Ok here's the deal for you non PAC 10 followers:

The ducks are tied for Second right now in the Pac-10 with Cal. Since USC has been untouchable as of late they will most likely go to a Bigger Bowl Game than the Rose bowl.

That leaves the 3 remaining (top contender) teams vying for a chance at the Rose bowl. If all goes well this weekend, and Oregon wins *fingers crossed* we have a damn good chance at the Rose bowl. If we lose, fear not, as we play UCLA next weekend for a chance at the Holiday Bowl.

Either way we need to win at least one of these (preferably both) so I get to see a Ducks game in person this season. Oregon has won seven straight against Cal -- the longest current streak in the Pac-10

lets go ducks!

Don't blame me, I voted Libertarian...
Kerry was a horrible choice for a candidate. His lack of charisma killed off his chances for Presidency ... but the Dems are going to refuse to ever admit that.

Really, who cares?

Whatever side you're on, you're just playing the game. Divide and conquer the American people with a two party system that stifles REAL progression in favor of pointless bickering and slander.

Wow, aren't you glad you belong to the _________ Party?
Give me a break.

Bush won an absolute majority of the popular vote, by more than three points, and took about a 30-vote majority in the Electoral College. Once the Kerry campaign learns to do math in the morning, this election will have little or no stigma attached to it, hopefully lightening the political mood for the next four years. Everybody voted, no one got chased from the polling station, and that means we can give up the conspiracy theories and the demonization that has poisoned our political processes for the last two election cycles.

Maybe this time around with GW we can really piss people off. I really don't think we burned enough asses over the last 4 years. I just can't wait to read the headlines tomorrow about how much the rest of the world hates us.

Prop 69, which collectes the DNA of the accused passed, and still scares the crap out of me - its an invasion of privacy for those people who are arrested but not convicted of a crime.

Also, why is it that in order to show support for stem cell research, we have to spend tax dollars subsidizing companies that have vested interest in it? I fully support stem cell research, but the proposal in California INCLUDES HUGE spending, so rejecting that somehow implies that people don't support it??? How does that work?

Why does a governor who was elected to relieve the massive debt California has, want to support a proposition that does just the opposite?

If I had the time I'd write an entire article addressing this issue...

Drews your Daddy
The bolts OWNED the Oakland/Los Angeles/Oakland rapists and thieves (oops Raiders) this weekend. Completely embarrassed them. The Chargers keep getting better and better, and are now tied for first! Drew Brees looked like Fouts - accurate and untouchable! Playoff bound!
